Many New Zealanders believe they know Dame Valerie Adams, but in a ‘sports’ documentary like no other she shares her story with honesty and vulnerability exposing herself in a way few sportspeople dare.

Dame Valerie Adams: More Than Gold was the recipient of the 2023 FIFO International Oceanian Documentary Film Festival Special Jury Prize and the Youth Jury Prize in Tahiti. The film will have its US Premiere at the 2023 Hawai’i International Film Festival Spring Showcase at the beginning of April.
