The Lost Tribe

Maxwell Scarry has gone missing.

In Fiordland, New Zealand’s most remote region of dense jungle bush and high mountains, he was searching for the remains of the mysterious Lost Tribe – native outcasts now scarcely remembered.

At first his wife Ruth and brother Edward aren’t particularly concerned – they know Max has always been something of a law unto himself. But the investigating policeman is keeping something from them and Edward persuades Ruth to come with him to Fiordland where Max was last seen. The result is violence and a bizarre night of terror. Ruth flees. Edward stays, ignoring the ominous portents. For Edward there is no going back.
