The Red House
Winner of the award for Best Self-Funded Film at the 2012 NZ Film Awards,The Red House is an intimate portrait of cross-cultural married couple Jia and Lee. While they share a great and enduring love, they have vastly different backgrounds and contrasting outlooks. When the time comes for Jia to fulfill her filial duties, the film follows Jia and Lee from their home of twenty years, back to Jia’s homeland, giving a personal perspective on globalization.
